If you’d like to think of green April instead of muddy December, now’s the time to be inspired by a day of poetry in the very special surroundings of Acton Scott Hall.

On 27 April 2024 I’ll be joining Alison and Francis Acton in their home to offer our third Poetry Retreat Day. Your day of exclusive access to this 16th century hall, its beautiful private grounds, and the famous heritage farm will involve cake, poetry, coffee and tea, poetry, a fresh and delicious lunch – and poetry.

We’ll write in response to these remarkable places, while absorbing also their stories and histories. At the end of the afternoon we gather in the parlour to share our new work. With tea and cake.
